CHAPTER TWENTY
âYou knowââI smirkedââthis isnât a sting. You can take your sunglasses off. Plus weâre inside, so it kinda makes you look like a loser. Just saying.â
Blake elbowed me hard in the ribs and kept her sunglasses on, lifting her chin high into the air. âBut you said not to make eye contact, and thatâs really difficult for me. Thus the sunglasses.â
âDude, just look at his crotch.â
âHis crotch?â
âYeah, heâll eat that shit right up.â
Blake burned bright red. âIâm not looking at his crotch!â
A girl hurried by us, nearly knocking over brochures for the business program.
Blake covered her face with her hands. âPlease tell me I didnât just say âcrotchâ that loud, twice.â
âSay it one more time. I promise it will be worth it.â
She lowered her hands and glared. âAny other pointers that donât involve me staring at hisââ She motioned in the air with her hands and coughed.
âHis . . . ?â I cupped my ear.
Blake licked her lips, her cheeks still stained red as she said under her breath, âGroin.â
I kept my laugh in, just barely. âI think you can do better than that, Miss Nursing Major. I have an idea, letâs play Name the Parts!â
âNo,â Blake hissed. âWe arenât naming body parts in the hallway while waiting for David to just stroll by! What if he walks by when I sayâ?â
âPenis?â
Her hand slammed over my mouth. âShh!â
I peeled her fingers away one by one. Strong gripâgood to know. âIf you canât say it, you probably shouldnât be playing with it, you know?â
Eyes wide, she gasped. âIâm not playing with anyoneâsââshe lowered her voice to a whisperââpenis.â
âIsnât that a shame?â I sighed. âHey, Iâve got one you can practice with.â
âMy face probably canât get any redder than it is right now, can it?â
âI donât know. Should we try?â
âIan, I swear if you say one more word . . .â Her finger wagged at my face. It was cute, getting her all embarrassed. Almost like foreplay, only more fun, because she was so innocent.
âPenis.â I said it again. âJust say it.â
âNo!â
âTits.â
âOh hell,â she muttered under her breath, then started marching away. I gripped her by the elbow and tugged her back against me.
âCome on, Blake. Eventually, youâll have to get past the point where you arenât afraid of your own sexuality. And something tells me that Davidâs not going to be supergreat in bed, so you need to at least gain some confidence so you can tell him what you want.â
âWhat?â Blake turned, hands on hips. âWhat makes you think heâd be bad? I mean, Iâm a virgin.â
âYup.â
She threw her hands into the air. âSo . . . Iâll suck.â
âNot possible.â I eyed her up and down. Not freaking possible. âBelieve me. I know this shit. As for David? The last girlfriend who was interviewed stated that although he earned an A for effort, on more than one occasion she studied for a test during. You know? A test during.â
âDuring?â
âSex.â
âHow?â
âWell, the way she explained it was quite cleverâshe hid note cards in her pillow.
